Our very own Cisco Writers Club Historian (and author!), Helen Cozart, is instrumental in bringing The Wall That Heals, a Vietnam Veterans Memorial, to Ranger College. The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It will be open 24 hours a day from 7:30 p.m., April 23, to 2:00 p.m., April 26, 2026. The exhibit is free to the public. Consider volunteering to honor all who have served.

Need some writing encouragement, practice, or just wanna have fun? Grab a pen and notebook, and come join the Brown Bag Writing group on Saturdays, noon to 1 p.m., at Holy Trinity Church on Seaman Street in Eastland. Why “Brown Bag”? Because it’s totally okay if you want to bring your lunch or a snack and nibble as you write.
Learn to keep the pen moving. Be inspired by other writers. Enjoy a prompt, or just work on your own project during writing sprints. It’s all free!
